Ease of access and proximity to city centre. Quiet location and helpfulness of the staff. Cleanliness of room and also the comfort.
Lack of a small fridge in the room; no swimming pool. Small things but when staying there during the warmer months, these would be a definite bonus.

The hotel is clean, well kept and the staff is always on hand to assist. It is reasonably good value particularly if you do not plan to spend any time in the hotel but exploring the town.It is a simple, no frills establishment with good airconditioning and bathroom facilities.
The hotel is maybe a little outdated in terms of furnishings and possibly a bit noisy at times. There are few facilities if the weather is bad you will still need to venture out for entertainment.

The lovely hotel seemed nice at first, but the smell of cigarettes in my room was revolting, infiltrating my clothes. The pool was unheated, a miserable oversight. How dare I not receive a complimentary upgrade for my trouble? I almost considered a good review, but this place has disappointed me severely, what a letdown.

The location was good. Away from the main traffic & a comfortable walk into the main town for dinner, shopping & port for transfers to Isle of Capri. Parking was free too!
The beds were hard & rooms not very sound proof. Breakfast was basic but satisfactory.

Hotel Leone is an excellent, family-friendly hotel with very helpful and professional staff. On our first evening, the receptionist gave us a map of Sorrento and pointed out all the areas to visit (shopping, views, restaurants etc) and this was very helpful. He was also helpful in terms of advising us on trips to Capri and Pompeii, and on how to return by coach to Naples airport (which was very good value at 10 euros per person).

Unfortunately, sound insulation is severely lacking. Thin walls mean you can hear neighboring guests and plumbing quite clearly, which could disrupt a good night's sleep. The room setup can be problematic, as some arrangements feel cramped and poorly designed, leaving you wondering about functionality. The breakfast options left something to be desired. While there are various selections, the absence of hot dishes like eggs or bacon may not cater to everyone's tastes. Lastly, parking can be a tricky maneuver with larger vehicles, as access requires navigating through a narrow street that some might find inconvenient.

The pool at leone was really nice, and our room had a large balcony. It was just a 5-minute walk to the center. Breakfast was good, and we really enjoyed being pampered by the warm sun rays outside on the terrace.

Very-very-very poor breakfast - the worst in my life not good location - far from train and sea port very noisy hotel because there was no noise insulation of building it is impossible to have room with sea view in this hotel (because of location)

The location was convenient, just a short distance from the bustling heart of Sorrento, making it easy to explore. The staff offered perfect service and a charming ambiance, though the bathroom space felt cramped and I found the mattresses to be rather firm for my preference.

Staff very attentive and helpful. Breakfast the best Continental breakfast we had. Our shower head was keaking and spraying outside of shower wall and it was fixed immediately despite being Easter! Good value for the money. It was right next to my daughter's apartment and a short walk to town!
Beds were hard but it seems that this is all Italian hotels in the price range we were looking at. Nothing bad to say

The hotel provided excellent value for money and is in a great location. Staff are polite and unobtrusive. My husband and I stayed with our 16 year old and his friend. We had 2 balcony rooms and the 2 boys had a bit of freedom in what I felt was a safe location. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels provided daily. There is also a sun roof with sun loungers for those who like to sunbathe.
There wasn't much we didn't like. The hotel doesn't have an extensive bar (mainly just bottled beer) and it ran out of beer on our last night! It is in quite a busy location so there is a bit of noise at night with scooters passing up and down but I did not find this a problem. All in all a great hotel.

Wonderful hotel with tidy rooms and an own bathroom. Wonderful views of garden, lovely staff. Free parking onsite provided. Great pool to relax in too. Freshly made and healthy meals. Really great overall experience.

clean and spacious, but lacking soundproofing
The hotel was well kept and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety, catering to different tastes perfectly. The pool area was a standout feature, with reasonable prices for drinks and snacks. Our room had a lovely mountain view that provided a fine backdrop .
Sound insulation in the rooms needs improvement, as we could hear neighboring guests quite clearly.

Although no view it is a great location for a stay in Sorrento, an easy walk to main centre of town; quiet; has lock up car parking area (one of our criteria as we had a rental car); it was definitely value for money; Reception staff were excellent; rooms were clean and everything worked! I have already recommend it as budget friendly hotel for a friend travelling to Amalfi Coast
